3D

At this point i felt like i had to do something diffrent so i carved a chair shape out of wood to get a diffrent efect.

This is my cut out wood chair with the pice of plastic i am going to use and my design under nith them
i realy had a good think about the style of chair that i wanted to create i needed something i would be able to use as storage as well as a seat.

this was the first idea that i had and i tryed to make it but i dident like the out come of the way it turned out i dident like the matireal i dident think it was strong enough once i had took the middle out.

This is how it looked be for i started to cut and shape my  stool out of it.i did not like to use this i did not feel comftable with it.

This was it half way thought.
this was my first shape then i desided that it was to big so then i cut it in half an desided to re shape one of them.

in these to pictures i was shapeing an molding the shape i wanted to create.

Here are the tools i used altogether.

assignment for 3D design.

I decided to look at furniture and different designers.

the designers i looked at are the following

  • Peter Murdock - this person made the " spotty chair" it was made out of paper in the 1964 -1965 i thought it was rely well made and very clever an how the chair held the wait of  the child that sat on it.It was all so made in mass production.
  • Wendell Castle - this is the "molar chair" it was made in 1970-1975 these chair are made out of moulded fiberglass and reinforced polyester.
  • Eero Aarnio he made the"pastille " in 1967-1968 these chairs are made very smiler to the molar chair but the designs are very different.
  • Ron Arad- he made the "body guard" chairs in 2007 these chairs really court my eye they are a more modern design of children's chairs.
  • Robin Day he made the "plastic stacking chairs" these chairs are still being used today.Luigi Cobni - he made the 'zocker" char i really liked that it was a desk as well as a chair it is a rely smart idea
  • Gerrit Rietveld - the "Aluminium chair" this is really cool from a child point it is very playful with the holes in the chair an i really like that idea.

bend

i tried different ways and was successful in changing copper in to a different colour.
also today i burnt some wood to see all the different type of grains and the patten on the wood.
i also used today stamps and grinders an sanders all on my different materials.

i put my materials in to my scrap book and started to explain and annotate all my work.

  • information in to my book.
